SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Our social responsibility is about how we focus the quality of our business processes to produce an overall positive and ethical impact on the society and the environment.
We believe that the impact of an organization’s activities should have responsibilities beyond the obligation for their shareholders. We are voluntarily taking further steps to improve the quality of life for employees and their families. We help and respect communities wherever our work brings us by hiring local members of those communities and giving them a fair job and an honest salary. We respect cultural differences and find business opportunities in building the skills of Mexican employees.
We also believe in having a responsibility beyond communities. The pressure on today’s businesses, including mining industries, to play a role in social issues continues to rise. Mining exploration and exploitation around the world can disturb land, air and water systems. We are part of this mining industry and one of the modern challenges is to find, extract and process mineral and metal resources with the least possible disruption to our ecosystem. There is a growing global interest, in businesses taking a lead in addressing those issues and Geofisica TMC, SA de CV is proud to be a part of it.
We minimize adverse environmental impacts by conserving ecological resources for future generations. During the first stage of mining activities, the exploration stage, activities such as prospecting, drilling and surveying with geophysical instruments are undertaken in order to locate mineral deposits of economic interest. With proper planning, these activities can be carried out with minimal disturbance to land, water, vegetation and wildlife habitat.
